Doris Bachmann-Medick, Dr. phil., Distinguished Research Fellow am International Graduate Centre for the Study of Culture (GCSC), Justus-Liebig-Universität Gießen.
Zahlreiche Gastprofessuren u.a. an den Universitäten Göttingen, Graz, Georgetown, Cincinnati, UC Irvine und UCLA, Los Angeles.
Arbeitsschwerpunkte: Kulturwissenschaften, Translation Studies, Kulturtheorie, Literarische Anthropologie sowie neuere interdisziplinäre und transkulturelle Entwicklungen in den Kultur- und Sozialwissenschaften.
